iPad Application - Donor acquisition
Company:
Global Fundraising Services
Business case:
GFS is responsible for represent the most known charity companies across the world, developing services to improve their goals and achievements. In face to face business category, GFS work in partnership with brand ambassadors, authorised staff split in 3 segments: residential, allowed point of sales and events. Before the initiative of digitalising the methods, BAs used to go in their daily job carrying loads of promotional material printed in paper, such as books, leaflets and forms.
There were some critical issues involved on this procedures. First, the BAs work most of the time on their feet, which means they need to carry unnecessary weight with them, plus all the cost of printing all of these materials. In the top of it, all the forms filled manually on paper need to be input on GFS system after all, what used to be a problem either for human mistakes (eg. typos) or unreadable information. In some exceptional cases, forms could also being lost during the process, representing a serious data protection issue.
Solution:
I was responsible for developing the idea by creating the navigational flow, doing researches, listening to BAs experiences, design interfaces and system interactions. It needed to be built over a CMS and flexible enough to be used for different clients and campaign, reducing costs in customisations our further development. The main goal was make a platform where non-technical people would be able to manage the content, colours and images without request IT or the creative team.
In only one device we can now show colourful and vivid images, videos and interactive content. It’s also possible to make changes in the content without having to re-print the material and do on time validation when filling the forms. All data is encrypted and sent to GFS HQ to be treated, less human interaction, better conversion.
The navigation was inspired by standard ecommerce checkout, as to finish the whole process, the donor needs to go through all categories. The completion of each step is shown by colours and icons. In the end, an overview is exhibited for a final review and signed by the donor, finishing the process. Each new register has a specific number that can be tracked or referred in case the donor decide to amend or stop contributing.
